i usually buy frags that are covered in corralline, after acclimation and before placing said frag or rock from the LFS i bought it from, i scrape as mch corralline as I can.

I once bought a rock covered in corralline that have a few button polyps on it, JUST to scrape. The corral-line grew back

here is the rock:

The LFS store guy was bewildered why i would pay 10$ for a 3 inch rock with 2 button polyps on it >=)

a few weeks later he asked why i bought that frag. I told him to scrape the coralline and his puzzled face lit up LOL

i usually scrape the frag plugs and rocks to help spread the spores and algae more. better than any PURPLE UP bottle would do

that growth is within about 3 weeks.

It's like plowing a field and fertilizing it and hoping corn will appear. You need to have SOME coralline in your tank before it will grow.

I believe it's traditional that, within a year of asking about getting coraline to grow, you come back with, "How the hell do I get rid of that **** growing on my glass?"

I've got green coralline growing on my glass. Not much purple happening anywhere except on shells
