ALL Sicces, no matter the manufacturer, have had restart issues in the past. Some still do, others have been trying to perfect them. Go look at any new skimmer that still uses Sicce, and restarts are almost always mentioned.

Your problem may have nothing to do with it....who knows? Pumps do crap out. Your posts are also extremely vague, why don't you try describing the problem in more detail. What you have and have not tried.

Replace the pump with a water blaster, which has a 3 year warranty. Try contacting them again, see what they suggest. Explain that the parts you replaced only made the pump work for a few months. They are a great company as far as service and keeping customers (when possible) happy.

Replace the pump completly, not just parts. As said above go with a bubble blaster and be trouble free. Way quieter as well

LOL.....some people on here just love to complain. NO product on the market is 100% perfect. There will ALWAYS be issues no matter what you do. If I got a customer service call with that attitude you have, I would most likely give you the bare minimum service just like you have gotten. I tell you what, since your so unhappy with it, I'll buy your junk off of you. $25 shipped. Sound good?

Everyone has a problem with some product no matter how many people have great success with it. I know it gets frustrating but the name calling is only going to get this thread closed. Like one of the above mentioned, if you called with this attitude, it's no surprise you're still having problems. I'd call back and be civil. You might just be surprised on how far it will get you. Good luck.

Good luck with the new skimmer.

I love my Reef Octopus. I had a problem with the pump starting up the other day with power flickering in storms all afternoon. I called them up and they walked me through troubleshooting and cleaning the impeller while I had it out. Blowing air through the venturi line was mentioned, but after the impeller shaft was cleaned it started right up & the guy I spoke to was very helpful & friendly. My next skimmer will likely be a Reef Octopus as well. So far, I have nothing but praise for them & their product.

Sounds like a troll to me. Running for two years strait with no complaints. Best bang for the buck IMHO.

You made the best decision in trying another skimmer. Although many people have had great success with the Octos (me included), obviously yours isn't working very well. Good luck with the Deltec! That's a good skimmer, too!

I ran a NW110 for 3 years with no issues. It did not like to restart after I did the mess mod, only complaint.

If you purchased a new model with the bubble blaster pump, it has a 3 year warranty. Call coralvue.
