looks great...that tank is not even big enough to comfortably house one tang let alone two and a fox face.....
as for the background...you could put an LED strip light across the top edge of the glass pointing down on the edge of the glass...you could cover the strip light with a piece of aluminum c channel and paint it black so you dont see it...the light shinning through the glass will only light up the etching and not the rest of the glass..it would look pretty cool.. i would certainly find new homes for your tangs though...i am sure they will live where they are ( if they dont kill each other) but i cant imagine they will ever be comfortable...kinda be like you spending the rest of your life in your bedroom (no tv no computer no phones, just the lights turning off and on) great job on the rocks too...i love how they stick out of the top of the water... |

Thats a real good idea with the LED i have channel for showers that should work great for that. Its a project for down the road at this point tho. Thanks for the thoughts on the tang i guess i should start looking for a new home for him but i would rather see him in a better place. |

Painted or not, the snook is an awesome piece of artwork! As I followed the pics down the thread my jaw dropped when I saw all the rocks covering 2/3 of the snook. Aesthetics are purely individual decisions, and I never comment on matters of taste, etc. It's just not my place to do so. But in this case I couldn't help myself. Be more creative with the rockscaping and make sure that snook stays visible! This is coming from a guy that has trouble making stick figures look recognizable, so there's a certain amount of jealousy here too, lol!

Well I've been doing a few water changes trying to get the ammonia spike down and it seems like i have. i put a uncycled pice in there so i am waiting on another spike... ill be posting new pictures soon. And for my big tang, he seem very happy in the small tank even tho everyone thinks he is to big. im just worrying about him knocking down corals once i get them going in there.

Your tank build looks great!!! I can't believe you covered up your etching with the rock work....looks awesome.
what direction are you aiming for coral wise? I think you might have a hard time being successful with sps with that big of a bioload...those are big fish and they eat a lot!!! |

Did you get rid of any fish before you added the maroon clowns?
