This set up that I'm getting was the same set up the owner has in his showroom store.
The rock I got was Fiji Ukraine painted live rock.I personally love the look of it.I like the idea of the colors since I'm doing a.fish only tank.he told me its a expensive set up but worth the money and my tank will always be clean.he has some of the nicest and cleanest tanks I have ever seen so I have no reason not to beloved him.delivery and install is tommorrow can't wait!!!!!wife is going to be very surprised |

Good luck, and I truly hope your wife will be surprised and love it! There will be some here who will object to your approach to this fish only tank. After all, this forum is called Reef Central .

To Reef Central You probable should have posted that it was a gift for your wife originally, people (guys) would have been more understanding of the price. I think it's great that you can buy her something that you can enjoy to, I don't get any kicks off a new purse, myself. Where are those pics? Its cool you got someone to help you for 6 months instead of fumbling through the hobby like most of us when we were noobs. Make sure you learn as much as possible from this website and the guy you bought it from, unless you plan on him taking care of it forever.

Thanks guys it's nice to hear some positive comments.she was very surprised and very happy ,we finally got our salt water tank we have always wanted.
Can't wait to get some fish once the tank is ready.now the waiting begins. It's un fair to any local fish store to compare there retail prices to craigslist. No offense I like craigslist.but since this is a new hobby and surprise for my wife. Wanted the hassle free maintance ,delivery and maintenance. I understand you can get tanks on craigslist dirt cheap.I was looking to see if I paid a fair price for a local fish store. Either way it's a great fourm and we couldn't be happier. Thanks again bill |

I am happy for you. $5000 seem high to me. I understand install and maintance is pricy but for that type of cash, I think that a ro/di and ato system and a few other items should be included. Equipment isn't super high end either, but if your happy and developed a good relationship w/ a local shop thats good. And if your wife was surprised and pleased, then $5000 is a nothing.
