Feb and/or march meet?? - Page 2

If you all want to do a get together, I am having a birthday party for my two kids on the 3rd of March. I can have a b-day party and a reefers delight also....bring the kids drink a few beers talk about tanks and get slightly sh_t faced.

If you want to elect new officers for the yr that would be a great time. Its not to late in the yr and maybe just maybe some new blood might get something started.

My tank is not the best thing in the world compared to what I have seen from the others but to me its my tank and it means a lot! With my slight red algae growing everywhere...like it has been said we all can learn from each other...you can use my tank as what not to do and what to do better or this is what you need to but session.

The Idea is now out there!!

That is a good question on the time...cause I dont even have a clue.

Wow the forum is pumping, sounds like a bunch of good news and conflicting news but all good. Atleast we are getting the ball rolling. I am all for the meets in person. I do not have much personal meeting interaction due to my job and on call duties so I look forward to the personal

meets. I will attend just let us know what time on Saturday to plan accordingly.

Alright for those that are coming over, my kids party wont start until 230...however, feel free to stop by at 1 as stated before. The food that I purchased for the party wont be served until that time. I will have a some beers feel free to bring more...the more the merrier.

lsaucedo, I wont be able to make it today. I think Justin also has prior plans. I hope all hve a great time and am sorry I have to miss it. It is really great that people are finally starting to show interest on the forum again and want to have meetings after a long period of very little interest in either by very many people.

I hope there will be as much interest shown for a meeting that might not be a big party or give away of some sort.

Sorry for the late post...I was nursing a HUGE hangover!!
Needless to say, I only had one person show up...no biggie...The reason I held that the same day as my kids party was just in case that were to happen. It wouldnt be a let down and I wouldnt have spent money for no reason.
I will not say who showed up as I do not want anyone to put anyone out on the line that didnt, so on that note I want to thank that one person for showing!!!

As far as pics are concerned, sorry I did not take any.
Dont worry...this will not discourage me from having another.

lsaucedo, Sorry to hear that only one of the six or so ppl that said they would be there showed. I have tried for a long time to figure out why so many ppl will say i am in I will be there and then never show up. I am really sorry it turned out this way for you. I hate to use this as an example but it is a good one. This is how it always seems to happen. So many ppl say they will be there then never show up. this is why it is so hard to make meetings happen and have some kind of attendance. I know you are new to the forum and the club and it really sux that this happened to you but I want to personally thank you for having the invite out there and making your home open to the members. I wish I could tell you I knew why so many ppl say I will be there and never show up but I can't. I am glad to see that this didn't totally discourage you and that you say you will do it again.
It is always this way. things slow down to nothing then a couple of ppl stir things up and get all kinds of crap going so ppl get excited and think something is really going to happen then they themselves don't even attend what does take place.
Again I am really sorry the ppl that said they were going to be there didn't bother to show up. I hope it is a lot better next time.
