I would say they are not worth the money, but then I'd be a hypocrite for calling out the people that don't like UV that have never used it.

What size tank are you running your MP10s on?

I am just thinking 2-MP40s is overkill. If anything i would think 1-40 and 1-10 would do te trick. Again this is why i am new to all of this and value opinions.

Yikes. I only budgeted a single mp40 for my 180 gallon. If you're considering an mp40 and mp10 for your 75 gal I need to rethink this!

+1 on adding another pump (Korallia or the like) on the opposite side of the tank.

I had just 1 mp40w on my 75g and while it would move the water on the other side of the tank, it really wasn't enough movement. I ran a K3 for awhile and then removed that and added a second MP40w. Is it overkill? Yes, at full power in a mixed reef. I have mine throttled to roughly 80% power in Reef Crest mode. Everything is happy.

Another way to look at owning 2 of them is because at some point you know your going to a bigger tank

I had 2 in a 180g and that tank did just fine also. So being able to just make an upgrade in the future will not hit your wallet again.

Definitely go for 2
