That is a great tank! I'm leaning towards getting a cube for a second tank and I love what you did.

Do you think the water level on this deep blue is a bit high? I'm in the process of setting one up and when I did my leak test today felt like it should be another 1/2" or so less. I took the gate out of the overflow box hoping it would help. I'm putting 2 mp10's in there and would love to have a wave but afraid that the stock level is on the high sid3.

Tank looks great man.

I'm actually in the process of building out a 57 gallon and purchased the same sump/return pump combo. Rather curious about the eheim though: did you remove the plate and just sit the return pump in the return chamber or something more clever?

I know this thread is old but what are you using for the hanging brackets for light fixture. Thanks

Are you using a sump? If so what type and where did you get it?

-Tank & stand
-50 pounds BRS pukani dry rock (ended up being too much rock..it's so porous and takes up a lot of volume..put some rubble in the sump).
-60 pounds Fiji Pink sand
-small 10 pound bag of Miracle Mud for the sump
-BRS 75 gpd ro/di unit
-bucket of Red Sea Coral Pro salt
-Eshopps R-100 sump
-Eheim 1260 return pump
-Radion LED
-1 Vortech MP10wES powerhead (for now, plan on getting a second one once I'm ready to add corals)

Various other necessities (heater, glass cleaner, refractometer, reefscaping epoxy, etc...)

Water has been circulating for about 2 weeks now. Not quite done with the aquascaping, but here's how she looks so far:

Let me know what you think.

Hi..
I'm getting the same 24x24x24 tank that you currently have. I was curious if the eshoppes sm-100 sump and or refugium you have fits nice in your stand?
What exactly are the dimensions of you stand. I believe mine is 24x24. Does your sump fit horizontally? Or vertically? Thank you!

Sump Question

How did you get the R-100 to fit? I have the same set up and it seems really cramped in there, so much so that it hangs out the back, and/or you have to put it in slanted a bit. Either way it hangs out the back.

I'm using an EShopps R-100 with my 60g cube as well, but I built a stand with a bigger footprint. Love to see an under tank shot of that system

Something like this

That's a nice image, plenty of space. I will post one of mine later, with just the sump in there and no other equipment it is a massive pain to reach. .

Yup. That's why I built a 40" square stand for a 24" square tank. Very solid, low center of gravity, more room, though it's still restricted, and a place to put my beer while I'm looking at the tank
