A external can work marginally better but that isn't a given. Too many variables but they do not work worse. I prefer recirc skimmers but it just a preference.

the 150 does not come with a bubble blaster pump it's an otp pump wich do not even compair to the bubble blaster, otp=$65$pump bb=$200 pump
the external ro's are recirculating skimmers so theyr suposed to be a little more eficent but they also require a second pump to move water through the skimer and the bubble blaster is dedicated to making foam the external skimers can also be used internal and are less sensitive to water level changes when they are. i just orderd a sro 2000 from salty suply, it should be here monday if they can find my house under all the snow |

i got the internal so i didnt have to have a second pump for feed...i have a recirc ext that has a feed pump.will be nice to do away with it.i understand about the bubble blaster now.dosent even compare to the other pump.
thats were i got my skimmer from.they have huge selection i almost got lost in all them...lol..good luck on ur new skimmer!!
