I had a Copperband that ate them, but they're such delicate fish.. Berghias worked for me years ago, and peppermint shrimp just scavenged fish food while ignoring the aptasia.

If you have 100's I personally think injecting them one by one is a waste of time.

I would add two fish to your tank. Matted filefish and kleins butterfly. The shrimp wouldn't hurt as well if your tank is as bad as you say.

My 180g and 70g tanks had... have aiptasia and majano issues. So many of the 'solution' offered work fine if you have a few anemones, or even a small population. But not many people are going to be willing to spend hours and hours (in my case it was a full time job! ) killing aiptasia with Joe's Juice or even a laser, which was originally my idea. And it works... OK, and better if you only have a few. I gave up on the laser a while back. Now I'm playing with a 'Majano Wand'. It's about as slow as the laser, and can be hard to use in some/many situations due to the long handle, but aiptasia and majano I have killed once, don't come back. I've had that problem with chemical and laser 'kills' that come back in just 3-5 days. This thing turns them into a gray slime that floats away. And they ask that you limit the amount of time you use it based on how many gallons are in your system.

But if you have a serious infestation you need bigger long term solutions. My big butterfly ate them all... OK, the ones it could reach, and then starved to death. Three months later they are back. But at least now the population isn't so big.

IMO, peppermint shrimp are very hit and miss (and eaten by banded coral shrimp more often than not), copper banded butterflyfish have a pretty good record (but are very delicate and way too often starve to death), Other butterflyfish and file fish are known coral eaters, berghia may work (but probably eaten by wrasses and other oportunistic carnivores).

It's a very difficult problem and the solution depends on how serious the infestation is, how accessible your rock work is and what other creatures you already have in your tank.

Berghia Nudi's did it for me, once under control if one pops up here and their you can manually remove with a much cheaper version of joe's juce... mix kalk to be a high kalk solution and inject them... kalk is cheap and that is all joe's juice is anyway... you just pay allot more for it...
