Sahin,

Thank you! the tank is actually coming along quite well. I have upgraded my skimmer about 2 weeks ago to a vertex omega 150 as well as removed the bio pellets the same time i put the new skimmer in. it seemed that my coral growth was stagnant with the pellets and color was gone because i didnt have a very big bio load and i was running more pellets than were needed for my water volume so everythign starved even with heavy feedings. Since i removed them, i have seen an incredible amount of growth of coralline and life on my rock, also my fish look healthier, and the corals are starting to get colors and polyp extension back in just two weeks. I have been meaning to update my thread and have just been letting the tank do its thing and its finally stablizing i believe. I will post new pictures up hopefully tonight.

Nice! Isn't that a great feeling when you get awesome results from figuring something out like that?

Thanks alot! and those are pipe organs. they look exactly like green star polyps but they are brownish with very nice fluroscent strips of green in them.

Heres the new refugium/seahorse tank that will be on the shelf right next to the display. I will be housing a couple pairs of dwarf seahorses, macro algaes, purple gorgonia, and probably a mandarin. The bottom has a 2 inch thick layer of miracle mud. I will post more pictures when things are moved into this tank.

Looks like it's progressing very nicely. I love the idea of your set up. It would just make me so nervous about moisture. Have you noticed any issues with it?

i have noticed a little moisture problems under the cabinet with microbubble popping and spraying water onto the wall, so to counter this, I am moving the sump to the basement in a closet that I am building with moisture freindly materials. this will help the tank stay cool in the summer and make water changes and maintenance a breeze as well as adding a frag tank, so basically 30 more gallons of water volume.

For such a young tank, this is looking VERY good! Nice colour on that first coral (some kind of Millepora). Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming.

I'd be wary of that Hydnophora...that has pretty potent sting and can extend quite a bit to sting nearby corals.

Thank you very much Sahin. Yes it is a sunset milli. I actually experienced that sting last night. The hydnaphora extended after lights out on the meteor shower, It only nipped the corner thank goodness. So yesterday I moved it away from everything, these pictures were taken a few days before.
