Black posterboard is less than $1 per sheet at any crafts store, goes up in about 12 seconds, and looks great.

Just did our new tank with black vinyl. I used to do sign work on the side and had some left over.

My acrylic tank that I purchased has a very thin (1/16" or less) bonded to the back panel. My 75 I put a blue background like from petsmart, now 1 year later the entire back is covered in coralline algae. So unless you plan on scraping the back wall what choice is just temporary until Coralline blocks the view

and yes Coralline will cover the back in a couple years and it wont matter.
