They haven't been out for years. Mine is almost six months and running strong and quiet since day one.
Let's say that 10 people chime in here to say they hate this skimmer and/or it broke, there are 1000 others that own one and have no issue at all, there is a reason they sold out of them. You only hear about the bad stuff with any company and people always want to act like every company out there doesn't have a few duds here and there. Buy from a reputable company and you won't have an issue. |

This is always the case, most only post about a product when there is a problem so the numbers seem skewed. Edit: matty beat me to the punch and said it better. |

Of course, once I get it back and to operational, Ill be happy for the time being... I only ran it for a day, but the day it was running it was already started to pull some stuff out of the water, and it was dead silent.. I also liked how small of a footprint it has, freeing up some much needed room in my sump!
Just frustrated that it broke down that soon.. THe controller just blinks where the preset speed bars are. I called premiumaquatics, and Jeremy was supposed to call me back but never did.. If I don't hear from him by afternoon Monday Ill give him a shout. Hopefully he can get me fixed up and I dont have to deal with RLSS customer service. |

Alright, I got my skimmer back up and rolling.. It turns out, the pump and the controller were both fine.. It was the power supply taht was bad.. Premiumaquatics sent me a new controller, and I tried it and that didnt fix it. So I got the idea to try out my Vortech mp40 powersupply on it, and tat fixed it.. So they sent me a new one and got it fixed up.

My Diablo dc 10500 power supply also burned out. I had to get a new one.

So since I've had this up and running. It has out preformed my Vertex Omega 150 I had. I am highly impressed with the skimmer. Pulling nice dark skimmate.
