Thanks for the write up and follow through on your MP40, I have yet to buy one looking to get a MP10 for a 40 breeder build.

Where do you have it placed in the 90? I have a mp40 on my 75 and had to add another pump (not Vortech) on the other side to get good random flow. I would rather only have the vortech, but one end gets blasted and the other end is slow moving.

I have 2-MP40's on my 90. Is this too much? If I turn these bad boys to 100% my hermits seem to struggle when walking across the piece of shelf rock in the middle of my tank. I am running a bare bottom mixed reef.

I have a 4' 90 gallon, so probably the same foot print as yours and I have mine maybe 6-8" below the top. So in yours I would probably put it like 4-6" below the top. Too high up it will splash, and too low you will ll have sand everywhere. Whats strange is that I look at the surface and don't see too much movement in the far corner, but my Neon Goni is fully extended and I see the polyps swaying away? It must be doing the trick, because I could never get these to survive with my koalias. Hopefully thats helpfull |

Do you have any video of your tank with these two guys running in their normal settings? If so I'd like to see. |
