I loved your 75g, that's a shame to hear that your breaking it down. But on the other hand, the new tank and rock work looks freaken sweet. Looking forward to see it all come together.

Thanks Chris. I'm gonna keep most of the fish I have now from my 75 and I'm planning on growing most of my sps on the back wall and my zoas and chalices and stuff on tiles in the sand still

The new adventures of bubba

Keep an eye on the spray foam. I used this same product and it worked great. Never had any issues with water quality or leaching. However, I had hermits pick at it and eventually chip holes in it. I eventually pulled it out when I moved. I then covered it with 2 part epoxy resign that we use to glass surfboards. It is inert when it dries. This prevented the crabs from picking at it.

Your wall looks a lot better than mine did. But I just thought I'd share my experience

Thanks for the tip. I won't have any hermits then just to be safe. Which 2 part epoxy did you use? I looked into it but could never find a brand that people used.

Looks great Bob. I downsized a while back when we painted/remodeled the living room.

Can't wait to see your tank progress.

Bob,

What are the chances, I am also downsizing to the same tank in white. Build the stand and getting ready to transfer some livestock. I love the style of this tank. Good luck with the new build.

Hap

What kind of skimmer are you using? I am trying to find one that is well hidden in the back chamber.

Awesome! I really like this tank so far too. I'm wishing I got one like this a few years ago, lol

I'm just using the innovative marine skimmer or will be once I decide to put it in. I haven't found anything really sleek to fit in the tank but if you do please let me know what it is because I'm sure the innovative skimmer is not gonna be the greatest.

Looks awesome so far Big Bob! But here's the worst part of it all, IMO..... The dreaded cycle! You've been doing this long enough to do it right, but I'm sure its killing you not to start stocking it soon. LOL Good luck bro!

It really is killing me Jas, lol. But your are right and I'm definitely gonna do this one the right way and wait for it to cycle properly.

Time for an update on my system downsizing. I transferred my green chromis and a few corals a week ago and did my snowflake clowns, rbta, and the rest of my corals that I'm keeping last night and this morning. The only thing I have left to take out of my old system is my lawnmower blenny, six line wrasse, yellow watchman goby, a few snails, and my giant brittle star and the transfers will be done. Now I need to figure out what to do with all the leftover corals and stuff before I drain and dry the system to clean it and sell it. Fun fun fun
