Please trust the advice you are getting . Members here want you to succeed with your tank. For the fishes sake if nothing else but for you also. I usually go with the majority when I want help. Flush the bio balls, put them on Craigslist, and reconfigure your sump setup.

It is always best to start slow. Unfortunately there is no direct conversion of amount of bio balls equals X lbs of live rock. Biological filtration is based on surface area and porosity. IMO Just go slowly over a couple weeks.

Put the additional cured live rock on your DT first then pull the bio balls

All the advice is appreciated and i do plan to follow it slowly but surely. I just picked up 11 more pounds of LR yesterday so plan to remove some bioballs today and watch my parameters for a week then remove some more. I dont mean to sound stubborn about the bio balls, i am on here for the advice and do plan on following the majority rules mentality i just like to take it slow to make sure i dont do something newbie stupid to crash my tank. Again thanks to all for the quick and useful advice.

If the skimmer is in the same section as the return pump an automatic top off would be helpful to keep the water level constant.
One other thought is if the skimmer is to close to the return you will likely get a fair amount of micro bubbles sucked back into the display depending on flow rate through the sump.
