Ken I don't see why you couldn't do one side by side you would just have to mess with the tubing

I use an overflow box.
At first I was scared about flooding, etc, but it's never happened and works flawlessly. |

Just setting up my tank and had planned an overflow, after much discussion and reading took my tank to a local glass shop and had it drilled for $30 plan to set the rest of my plumbing up this weekend.
