Sounds to me like everyone is happy with their Marco Rock. I will definitely order from them for my new 300Gal.
How heavy is there rock? For those of you who have their rocks how much would you say a volleyball size rock weights? |

I used Marco for my first tank, now starting a 180 g and will be using again. Like the way it stacks. +1 on using what little breakage there was to mount frags. My first tank was a red sea max 250 so I would consider it less than optimal filtration. I feel that the Marco rock picks up some of the slack.

I saw these guys at MACNA this year and they were a hoot. Great guys to talk to. I ended up purchasing about a hundred pounds (I'm not telling you how much it was b/c you guys will cry) for my 225. It's only been in a week but haven't had any ill effects. Granted there is 150 lbs of live rock in there already. FYI...I even helped boxed it up and drove it home and still had some breakage, so you can't blame these guys for "crumbs" in the box.

I have Marco Key largo rocks in my tank. I paid and had it delivered to a relatives house in the USA...when my wife and her family went to the USA from the UK to visit, I had all of them bring back pieces in their luggage.
I did have some algae issues, but nothing different from what you would get with liverock. I can confirm that as of 2008/2009 the Key Largo rocks are are treated to remove any PO4. I confirmed this by testing the new rocks. I may have made a thread/post a few years back about this. The largest piece of this rock is still in my current tank full of critters and coralline algae. |

Anybody have pictures of both the fine and coarse sand they offer? I'm trying to make up my mind on which to get but it's hard to make a decision without seeing both. I might just get half coarse and half fine.
