Sweet tank. I don't want to de-rail your thread just a quick question on how you feel about the quality of your GC tank build?

Im a TN person so they are a couple of hours away and I thought I might get them to build me a long'ish, shallow tank but I always hear about sloppy craftsmanship and it has kind of put me off. Your tank looks good though.

How do you feel about it?

I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars i guess. Silicone was sloppy in a few places, but for the money and considering it is custom I'm satisfied. Stand seems well built also.

It's just LED lighting from Radion pros 80% RB 60% UV. Camera white balance captures it as a purple hue.

Thanks for the kind words

My radion schedule is attached. I've had a few people ask about it over the past month or so.

Nice build! I have similar tank being built. 5x2x2 with almost exact equipment. Will be moving from 60 gal cube. Not near as much sps but we'll get there. Good luck.

Really nice tank! Corals look fantastic. Amazing pe.
I see you are using biopellets and gfo. Where are you keeping you n and p?
Do you feed the corals or just the fish?
Oh and I love the psychedelic video. No need for pharmaceutical intervention.
The radions can produce a purple light that I've never seen on any other led fixture.

I have yet to set up the BP reactor on this tank, until I see nitrates near 10 I doubt I will. I feed fish daily and SPS once every couple days. Right now I'm using Rod's coral food disolved and fortified with amin-omega. I don't test for phosphate and currently I am having trouble keeping nitrates detectable, even with moderately heavy feeding. Salifert is showing around 1ppm, I'd like them in the 3-5 range.
The purple hue is mostly due to the funky white balance on my camera. I think it looks neat though.

AJ, I watched your YouTube videos. The colors are astounding! I have a question regarding your lights. Have you always ran them with an overall intensity of 45% or have you finally settled on that %? I run very similar color values on my radions but I'm at a significantly higher over all intensity. Have you found higher overall intensity makes your sps get pale?

Thanks

I've made a few small changes to program... I think they now peak at 50%. When I had only 2 fixtures over my 90 I ran them a little higher. Now with three over a 150 they are a lot closer together so the light seems more concentrated, hence why I run them lower.

Too much light will definitely yield pale colors, especially if low nutrient levels.

Nice acros =).. Hopping on the ride, love the pics and videos if I were to do leds I'd have to say it would have to be radions from what I've seen in person on a tank and builds like yours.. Great job.
