Great Tank!
Can you tell me the reasons you left zeovit? Do you see differences in the coloration and in the animal prosperity? Regards |

Beautiful tank. I am aiming for a similar regiment. Two questions for you:
Can you please elaborate on your lighting duration. Which bulbs are on for what duration of time please? Also, is there a sandbed?

Congrats!! I love the full grown colonies and open look to your tank!

Reasons for not using zeovite is mainly want to maintain simple, since I use zeovite for not a long time so bad to evaluate the status of coral, but I very like the situation now. Quote:
My light is simple to set up, 11 am. start, stop at 10 pm., in half an hour after the start and stop half an hour ago, divided into three stages of the lamp startup and shutdown. The lamp lights lit all the running time should be 10 hours Quote:
It`s a green torch coral. More than three years from the 5 branches grow to 60.

I'm sorry, reply writing there is misunderstanding.
"since I use zeovite for not a long time so bad to evaluate the status of coral." The exact meaning is "so difficult to evaluate" Also no sandbed.

Congrats, great job and beautiful reef! I read your whole write up, maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything about your water change schedule. How often are you doing water changes and how much?

I found the below part very interesting; love the keep it simple idea but has there not been any crazy problems because of that? I mean afterall there is a reason people do all that other stuff to maintain their corals. My tank only has one mushroom so I am no coral expert by any means but just generally curious.

Congratulations! Simply beautiful tank. I do have one question for you Xuan, if you don't mind. How do you dose the Zeobak, Microbacter7 and the Bio-Digest? You describe dosing one each week, so when you dose the Prodibio Bio-Digest, do you just dose 2 vials for the week (Prodibio instructions suggest dosing every 3 days) or do you dose the Bio-Digest every 3 days as suggested and then one of the other 2 products. Would you mind sharing your dosing schedule for these 3 products? Thank you.

Simple questions:
1- What are the jumpers of 6105 stream pumps and how you arrange the circulation? 2- You might knew that filter socks "micronize" the physical compounds (+wastes) where it results as "food" to corals.. where they would probably "darken" them while you would like have a "clean" sump? 3- Why did you add Potassium? As you change water every 15 days 60 liters: Did you see any benefit? and why didn't you prefer K2CO3 instead of KCl? Meanwhile your system is so simple and I love it.. |

Nice tank. I am impressed. Recently the reef tank scene in China has been growing. Plus you have access to the latest and greatest new equipment. Keep it up.

Just beautiful.
Id be interested in hearing about the no sand bed, as he has more than just the Coris wrasse, i saw a Melenarus wrasse as well and from what i read they "Need" a sand bed. Im a lover of wrasses and the bare bottom look as its so clean but, my love for the wrasses might OBLIGATE me to keeping the sand bottom.

2,Everything has two sides, you want to get a clean sump will lose some coral food, so I will regularly feed the corals when stop the pump, at present my coral color ok. 3, I added potassium is not much, the aim is to increase the color of SPS, K2CO3 and KCl are feasible, is a matter of personal preference, I like to use KCL. I always all is change the water every 15 days (although the majority of people are changed once a week), benefit is the reduction of water changing workload. Quote:
5L RO water and 1000g KCL dissolved, one day dose of 10ml. Quote:
