As far as having thick skin, I very much do, but that's conversation for psychology not fishkeeping. I guess what bothers me is when people sit and talk about 'saving the ocean' and then turn around and have this "oops" attitude in their own home. |

I add anti depressants to the water and have weekly therapy sessions(believe it or not all the fish enjoy lying on the couch), so I'm proactive in preventing their suicide.

In Texas we dose with tequila. My fish don't drink all the time, but when they do they prefer to chase it w' Dos Equis. Stay thirsty my friends.

I get what the OP is saying. How many power heads do fish encounter in the ocean? Will the lounge be able to handle the onslaught of new members? Quote:

I started carbon dosing with Xanax to keep all my critters away from the powerheads.

I do have to be careful of my powerhead when I put my Apex into feed mode. I run my feed mode with the powerheads on for 5 minutes, then off for 10. I have to be there watching before they turn back on so I don't blend a fish. My starry blenny will crawl inside a powerhead from the front trying to clean off the tiny bits of algae on the fan. If I don't watch him he would be a goner.

You do know that fish lack the intelligence to actually go "hey I'm tired of this crap im out of here". Fish are not humans and we are not raising Dolphins. Dolphins probably could reasonably commit suicide. |

I had a snail near the rim of the tank this morning. Maybe he was deciding if he should risk going back in the water or end it all and slide to his death. I did nothing about it I hope nobody calls PETA.
