IMHO, chemi clean is treating the symptoms, not the cause.

Cyno is a by product of nutrients it is normal. I've used chemi clean and was free of it for a year but in another tank I used it and a month later it came back.
The product is safe though and flow won't fix the problem just slow it's growth.
