Bottomline is....

most aquarium product is mfgr'ed in Asia China. Sometimes product specs get wrongly translated from one language to another. U.S. distributors spend 99% of their efforts concerned about moving as much product thru distribution / transportation.... leaving little time to be concerned about website product specs.

I do agree with you, but grammatical errors do happen to us all. They are more common and accepted today than they were before the

just sayin...
I don't doubt you can find dozens of grammatical errors in almost any thread I've ever made but the difference is I'm not trying to sell a Protein Skimmer. If I where, I would proof read everything, when I was done. Also I'm sure Coralvue isn't typing on a android.

...and I wasn't complaining over a few misspelled words. Go to the site yourself, its clearly a person who doesn't speak English trying to write a page in English, not the same as spelling "there" wrong

Just saying

Apple products are all made in China, their primary concern is moving product volume, yet they have a pretty nice website from what i recall.

it's not hard to build a good site nowadays. the WYSIWYG editors places provide are pretty darn good, and with the WordPress platform there is literally no excuse for having a crappy site.

Just because the tools are there doesn't mean they know how to use them. Apple has a whole division of employees that just work on web design using the latest tech to do so.
I have been designing websites since the very beginning of the web in the late 80's had my first email address in 78. Lots of things have been learned. Same thing happens in the aquarium hobby i have been keeping fish for 52 years now Corals SPS for 27 years now lots of things have been learned and many more things that I look forward to learning.

There's really no learning curve with WordPress, all WYSIWYG, you don't even need to get in to the coding with the amount of plugins and pre made themes. i've recommended WordPress sites to quite a few non-technical folks, and none of them have had any issues getting a simple, professional looking, site up and running in short order.

it's the same situation one of the previous posters cited with the dirty store. if your storefront is ramshackle and falling apart, it won't give me much confidence in shopping there, same goes for your website.

you might not like it, but it's part of doing business. you want to present a professional face to the world. obviously no one is forcing you to do anything, but you will certainly end up losing business over it.

Another point is this... If I come upon a company's website and it looks like a total hack job or walk into a company's store and it's a disaster, I immediately question whether this company will be around in the future if I should have a problem with their product. Are they going to be there when I need a replacement part, etc.?

If they haven't made a dedicated commitment to their business, I will be reluctant to make a commitment to their products. There is nothing worse then spending a good fortune on a product and then a few years later something breaks or goes wrong and the company is gone and there's no way to acquire a replacement part.

Just one image and a mail to button. Not a lot of work and does not lead one to want to email them.

I know right? and I hate when companies don't disclose their Phone# but say send email.

kinda gives ya a "If you have any trouble with your product, don't call us for help, We'll call you!" type vibe.

...or worse "If you have any trouble with your product, don't call us, and we won't call you" type vibe.

Instead leave us an email and we "may" or "may not" email you back depending on if we "do" or "do not" like what you have to say..

I was going to order bulbs from a lighting site last week until i found no phone contact
