Oh, one last thing.. Should I QT the clowns away from the nem for a few weeks? They seem pretty rough.

Not at this time, they may even help it.
Only if it was small or showing signs of stress, does not look like it. As long as that hadonni is at least 3-4x the size of the clowns it should be fine.

Again, I would totally leave it alone, not even food this soon, you may just stress it.
Opening up to light is a good sign. Yes, Petco's do sell marine life, not all of them, and some are better than others. At some point they did focus on hub stores that stepped up on the marine end, not sure if they are still doing those. I don't advocate, nor knock Petco's, they are like LFS, they are not all the same. All animals should be treated/QT'd accordingly.

Nems usually do reek out of shipping bag.

The healthiest gig I've received so far was packed with no water.
The worst was packed in several gallons.

A week or 2 after it settles is fine to spot feed small foods like mysis.

I got a green Haddoni carpet from Petco a while back. I went ahead and treated it with ciprofloxacin just because of the reputation they have. When it was in treatment, I put a mug in there. Which made moving the nem easier when cleaning the tank. Now it is in a tank with clowns. I took it out of the cup and and went floating every night. So the mug went back in and I just piled live rock around it to hide it. The nem stays put, no more worries. My advise to you is like every else stated is to relax. Mine looks great most of the time. But every now and then it doesn't. I just keep the tank water clean and it is doing well. Good luck.

I got lucky and out of my years of fishkeeping, only seen maybe two type of clowns (maroon and tomato) host a condy anemone but very rare that happens. I stumbled on a black clownfish hosting a condy and had to buy the clown and condy with rock at Petco. You do find some good finds there on occasion. He is in my avatar.

I too was sucked in by the $39 carpet that was HUGE... but after getting him home and acclimated for 3-4 months he was gigantic and I was afraid that he would eat all live stock.. so I just today actually moved him to his own tank. My Oscellaris weren't going to him (found out thats not a good pairing.. after more and more research) but here is the monster! He's about 18" or so across the disc... WHEW!

dbnblynn,
He will do better if he have more sand, about 3-5 inches. Your rock structure does not seem to be too stable. Haddoni will move rock. Try to make your rock stable or else it may collapse and damage the anemone or worst crack your tank since you have a fairly thin sand bed. The three rock on top of the anemone seem like (just from our picture) that it can just tumbling down when the lower rock move. Just be aware that Haddoni are so strong they have no problem moving rocks.

Just aware of the potential of him moving your rocks. I can only see your picture so my evaluation of your rock structure stability is incomplete.
