Love it! And love that you went with ATI t5 fixture. Call me old-fashioned but I still think it's the best light out there.

I agree. I switched over to AI Hydras for about a year and wasn't happy with the results. LEDs are great for softie tanks but seemed to turn the majority of the SPS green. They did lower my electric bill quite a bit and I love the functionality of the dusk/dawn ramp up and the color controls but just not strong enough.

Plumbing time! I tried to purchase everything I needed and avoid hundreds of trips to Home Depot but that never works out anyway.

As I mentioned earlier I decide to do a bean animal overflow on this tank. I did a two drain one on a small frag tank setup I have in my home office and it's amazing. There is virtually no sound coming from it and one of my goals is to make this dead silent. Reason #2 for the DC pumps.

Enjoying the build. Nice equipment selection and you will love the DC pumps. I think we are all going back to T5 with LED for pop. Just a word of advise, the T5s do generate some heat. Depending on what you keep your house set at, you may need to incorporate a fan somewhere on your system to keep water under 80degrees but agree you should not need a chiller. Again, enjoying the build looking forward to the cool plumbing.

I keep my house pretty cool and run my 90g with no chiller and t5s but I have this just in case. GHL fan that looks pretty cool too.

Drains are 1 1/2" with the third (emergency drain) being 1".

Started the layout of the sump here. This has been probably one of the most time consuming things so far. Trying to get the picture I had in my head of how it will look and run into reality. As I started this I decided I wanted or need more water volume to be in the safe side. The red trimmed tank is just a place setter while Ryan at Critical Tanking made me a 2nd sump. Didn't want to have a whole new larger sump made so decided to just use a 2nd plumbed one for a fuge or frag tank.

In addition to waterproofing the stand if you didn't noticed I also raised the sumps. I hate when water is spilled than trapped underneath. I raised the with 3/4 plywood, sealed and caulked them so no water would get underneath. I used extra foam that was under the tank for the sumps as well.

Not sure if I mentioned it but I used standard white PVC fittings the colored fittings are not pressure tested. Just painted them with Krylon spray paint.

Plumbing is complete. Took some time to get everything in position in order to fit the pipes and everything underneath without it looking messy. Still need to add some pipe clamps to keep everything from rattling but not quite sure where I can mount those yet.

Next step was to figure out where I wanted to mount the doser. I went with the new GHL Doser 2. My previous tank that was in this location had the doser in a bathroom closet that sits right behind the wall but I wanted to display this one. After going back and forth with a bunch of different ideas I decided to try and make some kind of floating shelf above the dosing containers and it turned out pretty good. Really happy with how it looks. I made it out of aluminum angle iron and painted it black.
