Mine had the impeller chamber full of green gunk when I cleaned mine both times. I had an increase in flow and had to turn it down when they were cleaned.

I'm looking to get a DCS pump either the 5,000 or 7,000, what is the minimum flow setting for either of these pumps?

I have a 90 gallon tank 36 gallon sump and 5 ft of head pressure, looking for 3-5x turn over in the sump, I'd prefer to run the pump below 50% or so as I've heard they are much quieter the lower the setting.

Hi to all
My first post on this forum. I have a Jecod DCS 5000. Am planning to connect it to a Solar DC system (A Controller with 240V AC mains, Solar Panel, 150AH battery and 12V DC output) . I could not find a spec for the starting current for this pump. Anybody tried connecting this to a Solar DC system?
Thanks in anticipation
Karthik

I have the same pump and it has a soft- startup feature that would certainly limit the current draw to less than the full running amperage. I would be more worried about feeding the pump controller (module) stable regulated AC (converted) power.

I like the idea of a solar supplied tank though

I've ran these pumps for years. I was using a DC9000 for a double return on a 220 gallon tank with 7' head and it did great. I've only had 1 pump quit and when I cleaned it there was build up inside the impeller casing. It started right back up. I did have a CP-40 crossflow have a rubber part break down. Jecod actually returned my email inquiry (1st time that happened) but wanted $35 shipping the tiny part from China. Crap customer service but I cannot complain about the savings on the pumps over the years.
