I will use all this info in the future from this thread to make the correct purchases for a solid setup.

I use the geo for my 240 and 260 total water volume. I use the Milwaukee set to 6.5 ph. Adjust affluent based on consumption. I heard peristaltic is good. Although, adjustments are always required.

How does it tell what the alkalinity is?

You still have to test but it's as easy as turning a dial to increase or decrease alk.

So it's the same as turning the co2 reg to increase or decrease co2 to increase or decrease ph to increase or decrease effluent Alk?

Or changing the cut off in my Apex for the CO2 reg to do the same?

I did not check but does it come with a co2 reg?

Yes. all you need is a CO2 tank and media

It's pretty darn expensive. Nice to have a controller. Setting co2 bubble rate and effluent flow rate. Is there a chart for effluent alkalinity for water volume to increase the overall alkalinity in the tank by X dkh?

Once you set the bubble count, isn't it a matter of adjusting effluent flow to get alkalinity concentration. Slow rate is higher alk due to recirculation in chamber. Only if having low flow rate can't keep up with consumption, then increase the bubble count a little? Using a controller to shut down co2 when chamber goes below 6.5ph? Otherwise media depletes uber fast. Does this seem right? Or am I missing something?
