This is normal. Enjoy it, it's the sound of freedom.

That's what we use and love it. Has not failed or glitched. Consider the fact that that is the only one I've ever owned so I don't have anything else to compare to.

Love mine, simple and great quality.

Don't try this at home, but I unceremoniously dump pickling lime in my reservoir, haven't lost a pump yet and at $20...
Me too...

I haven't seen a lick of salt form yet, but I guess it could theoretically happen. The optic is on the waterside, however, and partly submerged.

Osmolator is the best, but you if you want the best, then change the pump. I am using a Liter Meter Dosing Pump on mine, it can pull the water from anywhere you want and is extremely quiet and reliable.

My only complaint with the Tunze ATO os when you unplug it and then plug it back in it., there is. Glitch in the restart programming or something because it won't stop pumping, PITA

Has anyone tried the Hydro ATO? I just bought it and seems to work well. Just hope it holds up.
I've also read Tunze is good but from 70 to 200 is a big jump in price.
