GQuinn - the Vertex V6 is perfect on this tank I had it on my old tank so just moved it on to the reefer as I had it but its a very good pump and the flow is exactly what Red Sea reccomends for the 625 xxl. Its a silent and reliable pump and not to expensive when you think its virtually the same as the Royal Exclusiv Red Dragon pumps.

The Cycle has finished I now have zero Ammonia & Nitrites, diatoms are just starting to appear all part of maturing process. I have a shipment from Reefphyto coming tomorrow of Copepods and Rotifers to seed the dry rock and sand. Once the copepods and rotifers are in I will start transferring my clean up crew from the old tank then the fish. I will spend the additions out over the next month to allow the bacteria time to build and be able to handle the increased bio load.
The Aquaforest Bio S worked well it did take longer than the stated 14 days (it actually took 26 days) but I started with dry rock and sand so was expecting it to take a little longer than if I seeded the tank with some live rock. I started doising Pro Bio S and NP Pro as well as the Bio S on day 14 I have to say I very impressed with it so far my nitrates were at 50 when I started dosing they are currently at 5 with no water change. The Royal Exclusiv 3.5l media filter is on its way from Germany looking forward to receiving it very soon. This will house 1.2l of Aquaforest zeolites and 200g of Red Sea carbon stacked in one reactor. |

Royal Exclusiv 3.5lt media filter added to the Red Sea Reefer 625 xxl I've also transferred my pair of clown fish, coral beauty, flame angel, yellow tang, urchin and serpent star fish.
I added copepods and rotifers to seed the tank before any fish were added so they had a chance before getting eaten. Ordered a few SPS corals from mail order corals used they in the past and have got some really nice corals so waiting to get them now Got to start saving now for a apex don't tell the wife lol |

quick update as I've not had much time lately due to work, Ive added some led lights to the cabinet make working in the sump much easier as I can see what I'm doing.
Still dosing Aquaforest pro bio s and -np pro started abve as I have undetectable nitrates i would like the to be 1-2 ppm feeding heavy with no change to nitrates. |
