This is my Coralife Aqualight Pro hung using their optional suspension kit. I really like the clean look of the light and the suspension kit took less than 20 minutes to install. It's an all-in-one lighting solution that is well worth the money.

Yes me and my dad made it.

I have 940 watts of lights on that tank, with no need for a chiller.

I really account the design of the "canopy" to run a cooler tank. Temp is 78 to 80 with the heater on at times to keep the temp stable.

RO III 250 w
and IC 660

I hate the way threads get buried so quick. Maybe I should have posted this in lighting...

This is a great thread! I'd like to do an open top tank, but isn't the light spill-over insane?

Hey Peezee what type of fixture is that?

Keep these pictures coming everyone! Comments about what fixture model and light spill over, heat, etc. are REALLY appreciated!

Its an Odyssea dual 150w hqi with 84w of t5 blues. I got it from aquatraders.com and changed out the bulbs to coralife 10k bulbs. Doesnt seem to spill the lights too bad. Since my tank is in the dining room, we just turn off the main lights and eat while having the tank light the table just enough to see what youre eating.

Spoon671 ,

What kind of light fixture is that?

I love how there is minimal light spillage into the sorrounding room.

I am in the process of designing a set-up for a 29 tall and could use some ideas.

Thanks

Here's mine. Pine, with high temp paint, 1000 degree insulation, and two metal halides in each.
