No. there are some fish that will eat it. I think foxface will, but not sure. All of the ones that would eat it were too big for my tank. Personally, I just pull the rocks that it's on and pick the bubbles off manually, rinsing well along the way.

I have at least 12 in my tank and love watching them. I think they are more defencive than offensive when it comes to fish. Sleeping or sick fish might be a problem. They also do love snails, but I need mine kept in check anyway.

I had one that was great for about 6 months. Loved it and they are interesting to watch.
Then a switch turned on (probably just not getting enough to eat) and it went as Noahm says, 'rogue' on me. And like Noahm, it developed a distinct taste for my zoas. It had to go. It now keeps the other inmates company in my bad boy tank (various crabs, mantis shrimp). |

I had a problem with mine stealing food from acans and sun corals. They would pry ipen the polops and steal the mysis.
