so what is the deal with these fish? Someone said they are from a single wild pair, is that true? I wonder how long that lineage can last with those obviously deformed pug snout faces. I love the white pattern though.

Eh, $1,200 retail isn't so bad for a wild-caught interruptus angel.
But I can't for the life of me understand why someone would pay $40 for that pair of genetic reject clownfish, let alone $400. But then again, I've never understood why people buy man-made hybrids (or even albino fish) in general. |

just looks like any other angel to me -- I'd rather have a nice tv than pay for that

I find them to be interesting but certainly wouldn't pay a premium for them. IMO they ought to be fetching a lower price than the normally striped clowns being genetically inferior. But if there is a market at $400, I can only think P.T. Barnum had it right.

Those fall into the so ugly they're cute category.
I like them. Not $400 like them, but I'd pay a premium. I have stupid money in several fish though...it gets easier after the first one. |

They don't exactly look ugly to me, just... inbred. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder; I spent ages today picking my pair of baby oscellaris clowns at the LFS - I wanted to make sure I got two with perfect stripes and perfect mouths
