Between my Midas Blenny [great, easy fish ... out a lot, interesting personality] and my Sunburst Anthias [shy, difficult fish ... I'm the only person I know who has had one last over a year].

I wouldn't really recommend a Sunburst, very skittish, don't do well in groups - but for a 3' tank, a better `star' fish than some more swimming types [Tangs, etc].

All IMO.

My Mandarin is my favorite, he is out in front quite often and doesn't hide when you walk up to the tank to look him in the eye.

Name says it all--the ocellaris clownfish. Couldn't ask for an all-around better fish.

."Oh..and my least favorite fish in my tank are my Chromis. They are way to aggresive and personally I think I can fill my bioload with a prettier looking fish but my attitude is if they are doing well in my tank then I guess I will keep them"

Yeah, I dislike my chromis as well. They're cheap, hardy, and have decent color to them, but I bought three under the impression they 'might' school...however, none of them get along particularly well and the largest hates the other two and constantly chases them.

Oh well, some aggression is to be expected with the tank full of damsels I have: 3 chromis, Maroon Clown, False Percula clown

My Maroon is my favorite fish probably simply due to the fact that he gets along great with my false perc, allowing him to roam as he pleases in my 90 gallon tank and hasn't even nipped any of his fins. The only aggression EVER directed towards the false perc was when I acclimated him and the maroon sort of chased him for about 30 minutes to let him know who the boss was.

my fiance likes the royal dottyback pretty color and turns from purple to blue under actinics . . . but i personally love flame angel and cinnamon clowns . . . my flame is the most stress free . . . everyone tries to muscle him around the tank but he just ignores them and just nips at the LR . . . no ducking or diving or running away just his same old whatever look in the face to whoever crosses his path . . . cinnamons are cute and got lots of character . . .

See the small pic in my avatar? That is an ocellaris (false clown). most of them are tank raised. They are one of the most hardy, and least aggressive of the clownfish. I have 2. They are my fav.

I have a pair of true percula clownfish and I think the female can be aggresive. I see her swim over to the chromis hide out and bug the hell out of them for no reason and then swim back to her coral.

Who can resist a copperbanded butterfly fish that is actually eating frozen? They zig. They zag. They nip LPS when you're not looking...

Anyone have experience with those smaller hogfish? Like the Candy Hog Wrasse, Peppermint Hog, or Candy Stripe Hogfish as seen on Marinecenter?

My favorite was a breeding pair of true percs I had about 10 years ago. I guess these days they would be called onyx clowns. Never had the time or resources to raise the fry.

As far as the small hogs, they are a bit shy, but pretty hardy. I find they usually do well.

Flame Hawkfish. Have him in my 75g reef. Doesn't bother corals, other fish, crabs, etc.

He perches at the front of the tank quite a bit and I love how he will stay in one place and move his eyes around and watch you as you walk by the tank. Pretty cool.
