I have a 155G bowfront and rarely am bothered by distortion issues. Magnet cleaners work fine, as do home depot wallpaper scrapers. (it's glass not acrylic). In this size I don't find aquascaping too problematic. Photography doesn't seem to be any worse in this tank than my standard tanks, overall big size is more of a problem than the curved glass when taking full tank pics. Macros are no problem.

Lighting is a bit more challenging and years later I'm still fussing with it a bit. Halides are easy, adding in actinic supplementation is slightly more challenging as the canopy is hinged and thus has separate front and back portions.
