No Idea, but here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada the phosphate from the tap reads 3ppm! ouch!

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!

wow thanks for all the responses. I really didn't expect so many responses above 500ppm. and I am impressed with mystikdragon7's 11-18 ppm. that water must be filtered somehow. I measured some mountain spring water I bought at the store and it measured 50 ppm. so I am thinking anyone with lower ppm than that must have a vary good water source. I guess I am average.

i also live in baltimore which is supposed to have great water but the pipes in my Apt building are so rusted my RO/DI unit clogged in less than 9 months. i even hooked it up to my toilet water feed to keep the pipes flushed often (no pun intended).

anyone know the effects of this on a reef? my plants in my freshwater tank look pretty miserable so im afraid to try tap water on the reef.

225 in Southern Florida. But the local utilities add extra chloramines to the water right before, and for a couple weeks after, a hurricane. Depletes the DI cartridge in no time at all.
