Which drum are you utilizing Rich? I have mine hooked up to return above the tank in all 4 corners, and currently have the drum which switches between A&B, B&C, C&D, D&A. I bought the opposing output drum as well where it would switch between A&C and B&D, and am thinking of trying that one out to see how performs.

hey Blair,
i dont think the sea squirt has a specific drum.....it has one hole that when centered on one, it also is 1/2 on the next one....i think i have the same pattern you have....not sure if i can change or not, but seems to be giving a nice flow output.

instead of changing the drum, you can always switch the output port of each and that could alternate as well.....

My OM is wa wa wa in the motor gears.
I need to know is there someting else to but on the threads of the fittings besides teflon tape i did three times to stop a drip on one port wrap more and more I am afraid butting too much and cracking the MO.

I always wrap my fittings progressively; I start at the base of the threads (away from the end of the pipe) and wrap 6 times, and move out towards the tip (end) where I finish 4 wraps. hasn't failed me now. The OM isbuilt strong, I would think the fitting would crack first, but as I mentioned you don't want the thredded fitting to go in all the way or you will run into problems.

I would contact Paul at OM directly (there are direct contact links on the oceansmotions website) regarding the motor noise. He is very supprtive in his products, and if he can't figure out what the problem is, he will ship out a new part expeditiously. Excellent company.

I fixed the drip I put o-ring silicone lube on the threads the retaped the fitting put together and no drip all dry I need to remember this if the others start to drip.

And I will call paul up.

About the noise they make, mine started yesterday afternoon. I just shut it down, took it off, then apart w/the included allen wrench and cleaned out the crap and no more noise. Just make sure you put unions close to the 4way its self, and one between the 4way and the pump so when these things happen a person can just pull it off, take it apart, and clean it. Easy as pie!

I've had my heavy duty 4-way (old style shaft drive) for 1.5 years. It's been running 24/7 and I've never had to clean it. Dead silent, high quality unit. I watched Paul hand assemble my unit personally because his company is only a hour away from me.

I called paul and said if the noise gets too loud for be he will get me a new motor .
He is looking for a new motor supplier. and the housing if it starts to leak again that he will give me a new housing this is the first time he had one leak I said there is always the first time nothing is perfect to watch for tooling dimentions. He looking to make them thinner with less threads.
I did that with the unions.
And what part did you clean for the noise?

Stile2
What do you have for the sump pump?
Is that pump on the OM too much need to know the limits how big of pumps you can use with out SS locking up from pressure.

I am using a QuietOne 3000 for a sump return.

As for the Pan World 100 PX-X, it pumps 1270 gph (no Head) and according to the OceansMotions web site the Squirt starts to get stuck around 1300 gph. I haven't had any sticking issues yet. I think it is just about the perfect pump, max flow with out a by pass.

That said, if I were to order another one I would go with the Super Squirt, which can handle up to 2200 gph.

Keith
