I have an ER and they are about the easiest out there as most of the needle wheels. a becket can work very well but they need big pumps to run them. a recirc needle wheel can be very efficient though. I like local acrylic fabricators.

one mor ething about tunze.
it used a pressure pump and the bubbles it forms are like millions of micro bubbles. its like 50/50 water air mix i think. plus its easy to take apart. low power usage also (18 watts) if you use tunze youll be happy.( easy to adjust)
i hear euro reef is right up there with them but. dont havemuch experiance with ER

ASM G3. They work fine out of the box. You dont need to mod them. It is a far better skimmer than an Urchin.

I have a Berlin Classic from Red Sea and it works very well. The new version is even better. Have used it for 7 years and it requires no maintenance other than routine cleaning.

If I were you, I will stay away from Coralife skimmer, I am willing to give my entire skimmer to you with pump for just a price of a maxi jet 1200.

The nice thing about the Urchin is that you don't have to worry about the depth of water in your sump like all other skimmers. Other skimmers you have to adjust based on the depth of the sump. Some skimmers have to have a stand in the sump if it is too deep. I love my Urchin. I have also heard good things about the ASM's or the Coralife Super Skimmers. One other thing to think about is the footprint of the skimmer and how much sump space you have.

Hi, Mark I also have a Berlin Classic from Redsea, after the pump was stop running I place with other pump it works not so good . From your experience can you please let me know the recommended pump beside the original pump because in Malaysia verry difficult to get the original one. T.Q.
