when you stir the sand bed you kill the bacteria so i wouldnt do that but i have swapped tanks quite a few times and have never lost anything and have never had a slight cycling process going on you should do what you think is right, i am trying to save you the loss of all living oranisms in your tank including your livestock, well have fun good luck on the move

Killertommygun, I appreciate the help very much. I will pay attention to your comments and do what you have said as well as some of the other tips. I want to take every precaution possible. Yours is one of them. Sand is cheap compared to all of the fish and corals.
