I have a 1500 and a 1100 with no issues after a year and a half. The key is maitenance and I'm willing to bed many don't do that. Dump it in a solution of 1:5 vinegar/water solution for 24 hrs. It will eat anything alive in there. I rinse it and toss it back in. I never have seizing problems ever when the power trips or if I turn it off and on. This should be done imo every 4 to 6 months.
