This is the bulb I use now and macro algae growth is double compared to when I was using coralife 50/50 Aqualight earlier. This is the highest wattage for a single bulb and the light is very white in color. I have a mini-powerhead moving the water in the refugium around every 15 mins on a timer. This is in addition to the water flowing through it from the skimmer through to the return pump. Last edited by UCanDoIt; 10/16/2006 at 11:29 AM. |

I point the powerhead's water deflectors up toward the surface to agitate it. If you point tyhem down or even horizontally, you can disturb the miracle mud. |
