So, if you buy 10-20-30 hermits, you can't take the snails. I think various snails are much more safer for the reef and... safer for the other snails..

This really doesn't pertain to keeping Hermits with Snails.
Hermits do n't just kill snails for fun, they do it to obtain a bigger shell. If you get larger sized hermits and smaller snails then they won't touch the snails.

For every 50 snails get 10 hermits. It does not matter what type of hermits or snails you plan to get.

FYI, I have 60 snails a mixture of Astrae, Turbo and Cerith along with 10 left handed hermits in my 180.
