It's not really attached to the glass. It's a cement DIY rock, with pvc pipe in the center to make it almost neutrality buoyant. An other pvc runs down the center, then elbows and goes up and over the side of the tank to hold it in place.

That looks pretty cool, 3D-Reef.

What is the length of the tank? Just so I can get some perspective. Is your sump/fuge under this tank or is it remote?

...and yeah, are those rocks? And how did you attack them?

Thanks,

The display tank is a standard 125 gal,6' long.The fuge/sump is DIY,6'x2'x20" ~135 gals.It sets under the DT in a DIY stand.

stonatas are safe 4 sure ....got alot? want them eliminated add a crown conch to your fuge. they will eat them up and keep them in check...they dont eat that fast but enough to help.

The Crown Conch sea shell is in the family of Melongenidae. These shells are carnivores, feeding on clams and snails. They are found in shallow water in the West Indies.

SuperNerd,Most of it is caulerpa,But the tall slender plants are Thalassia, turtle grass.I bought a halimeda plant that had a piece of root and blade on it.That was in 2002,since then I've grown about 40 plants. Some are still in the other sump and sold some to others.

Thanks. Remember any of those other plants off the top of your head and where you got them from? By the way my Sea Grass "Charity group" is currently taking donations if you're interested.

SuperNerd,
The caulerpa you see is Rasmosa(grape).I pulled out 3lbs last night.A couple weeks ago I pulled out a basketball size of cheato. Before that it was serrulata (sawblade). Most of these can be bought on line or from the LFS.If someone near to you has a fuge they probably would give you some.I just toss Mine, cause the LFS's here started growing there own.

In the plant forum here on RC there is a thread with alot of venders.Where to get marine algae and vascular plants.

The turtle grass is seasonal at best. They can't harvest it,just pick up what washes ashore, I beleave. So you can get it if your lucky.
