Yeah the DE are a lot easier to get and the Spectra are much tougher to find. I have the 24'' DE model. Those XR6s are very tempting.

I hear you regarding your dilemma. You may want to reach out to a Giesemann dealer and see if they can make a 36" fixture. When I was talking with Aquarium Specialty they said Giesemann could have made custom a 5' long fixture for my tank. Anyway, good luck.

I just received my Matrix ii dimmable and it looks amazing! Anyone have personal experience on how dimming the lights affects longevity? ??

I just got a matrixx t-5 light fixture and the hanging kit from BRS. For the life of me, I can not figure out how to attach the hanging kit to the light. The instruction manual says to attach the cable connectors to the light fixture but it does not say how to do that! There are also no diagrams. TIA!

About to pull the trigger on a Spectra. Question is 400w or 250w?
New tank will be 72"l x 30"w x 24"d. Might make it 84". If I got the 400w could I still run 250w bulbs with the right ballasts?

The fixture gets warm, but it shouldn't change the temp in the room.

I did, they said no dice. Black is all they will have. Been trying to get into contact with Coralvue and I guess they never answer their phones or return VM's

Anyone has a tip/instruction on how to convert the Spectra white receptacle plug to work with Luxcore or Hamilton ballast?

Thanks John.
Looks like there is some sort of adapter included with the Luxcore ballast that can do this. Anyone knows if I can get this adapter separately or I have to get a Luxcore to get it? |
