If you just have rock and coral in the very middle it will be fine. but if you have rock against the back of the tank i would recommend 2x120W.

Honestly I'm used to the pinkish hue because I had blue/magenta ecoexotic stunner strips before this light as a supplement to my T-5's. It is not pink at all to me. The 10k brings out the yellows a little bit more, that's the only difference really.
Thanks! btw awesome tank. the colors pop like no other and it seems very healthy.
Do you believe the 10k model is more white and crisp compared to the 16k model?

At first I was hesitant on if I liked the light or not, but the more I look at it the more I fall in love with it. It seems not only do the corals have to acclimate to the razor, but so do my eyes lol.

Wow, just beautiful color.

Is that a 29 Gallon?

Thank you, I personally like the option of having white only on 1 channel and blue on the other. Yes, the 10k is more white crisp color.

Thanks for the reply! im trying to get 10k boards so that I dont have to buy a complete new unit, but hey worst comes to worse, its just money right! my tank has really gone off with growth since adding this light fixture. I just want the 10k version to help with the aesthetics. I would definitely say that this light is an acquired taste.

anyone else with a 10k unit having problems with purple hues or being to white. I feel like the 16k is washing out the overall look of the tank, but the corals seem to love the light. so im in this big debate, because if I dont like the overall look of the light, but my corals love it, whats the point in having the fixture or am I just being a total a** for not caring about my corals health! hahaha any comments please feel free! growth has gone wild with the fixture, but still that overall look is not how I want it to be.

This is how I feel my light looks- washed out blue 16k:
And this is how I want my light to look- crisp white 10k:

You think I should just pull the trigger and buy a 10k model and do a nice review on both units comparing one another?

That would be nice. im sure you would have no trouble selling the 16ks if you decide not to keep them.

How is the spread of this light from to back?

I am thinking how many I would need on my 50 x 36 x 30 tank?

2 running front to back or 3???

And the 10k is the better option it seems like???

I think two should do great.. i like the 16 k personally.. it is all about how you want it to look. I had 10k t5ho and am much happier with the 16k but i have mostly zoanthids so the blue makes them look different.

I would think 3 front to back to get proper even coverage and sufficient PAR since the tank is 36 inches wide.

That is definitively an odd shaped tank. You would need 3 120w fixtures. Please take some pics of your tank

LED aclimation?

Just joining the razor (LED) club just orederd a 120w 16k for my 29H which is 30"L 12"W 18"H My tank consits of a semi mixed reef with some sps Zoas and leathers. I was hopeing someone could suggest a new lighting schedual for aclimation from my current T5 fixure which is 4 T5's at 31W each Two being 1000k and two 420 actinic. I no everyone has there own perferrd method of how to configure there light settings but as being new to LED any help would be great i dont want to burn my corals.
