I was using 1 Kessil A350N 38" above the bottom of my old tank without problems even with sps. I believe you will not have problems, and the new 360N suposed to have better intensity (I dint test it). Last case scenario, send an email to kessil. |

I'm looking for recommendations for color and intensity for my a360we's over a 90 gallon. The coral colors have been great while running at 40color/45intensity. However, my zoas seem to be stretching for light. How high in intensity can we take these lights in a mixed reef? Your input is greatly appreciated.

I started up my new tank in November and my lights (360NEs 9" above a 24" tank) are only at 55% now... I started at 25 or 30 and have been creeping them up veeeery slowly; but I also have a rock wall with SPS mounted only a few inches under the water so trying to be careful to not fry them. So far so good and I've got amazing color from some.

Wondering if there is any benefit to running the kessil at a lower color say 25-35 range but keeping a higer intensity say 70 max? Just have seen others doing this..currently I run mine at a color of 65max 70max intensity. Thoughts?

I guess my question should be, what difference in color and growth have others had with color being higher than 50 or lower than 50 depending on schedules

Guys, I have a A350W on my 93G Cube (30x30x24) with the light about 2" from the water. It covers about 90% of the tank with light except the back part which I think is fine as I wont have any corals in the back. What I am worried is the intensity of the light near the bottom of the tank. Is it enough? I am not planning a whole lot of SPS but I will mostly have Leathers, Hammers, Torches and maybe an Anemone or 2. Will this be enough?
Also if I had to maybe use 2 A160 so I could use a controller, will that be enough for this tank? |

^^^^^ I think your light is to close to the water, with a 30'' wide tank I think you will need two. I would just get another 350 sub $250 for the light.

My Aquaticlife 150w HQI/T5 fixture crapped out on me. I joined the Kessil club with 2 A360WE's and spectral contoller. I will be installing this evening on my 75gallon. I'll be using the gooseneck adapters. I have a large carpent anemone in the sand so I hope I have enough light. Im excited about the upgrade. I wont miss the heat my old fixture gave off. just saying hi

So I've been running my A160we for 2 weeks now in my 10 gallon and I have seen my rocks start to turn very green. My phosphates are zero and I have never had this issue before with my T5 lights. Is any one else dealing with this? My light is 8" above the water and I hit 40% max intensity with 40% color at my peak cycle.

So maybe I will post this here since this is the kessil club and it seems like I'm not getting anywhere on my own thread. See what your guys input is.
So here is my current project I currently am running here is another Idea I might go with I want to keep the T5's for the T5 Growth but I love the way the kessil accent my tank not sure if addeding to more 150 and getting rid of 2 more T5 will stunt the T5 Growth and color.
