What type of Scolymia do you think it is? This coral doesn't look like the any of the typical Scoly species, with it's fleshy, rough textured tissue. I was doing a little digging around and found this sp. (Mussa angolosa - solitary polyps are given the Scolymia lacera title. This is the first I have heard of the species. Could that explain why you were thinking Scolymia)?

Yeah I wasn't paying attention to that pic very clearly. To me now, it is a lobo, a nice 1 indeed. I've seen scolys that had those colors and shape which is why I thought it was a scoly at 1st.

No big deal...lol...when I walked up to the vendors booth at baymac I said "man that a nice scoly" and he said "you mean lobo" then I said "SOLD" LOL....

lol hahahah nice 1, this booth thing is from a reef owners' club or something? I'm trying to look for a saltwater reef club that I could join in socal, I used to be in koi fish club back in the days...
