So if my director stops detecting my network, what happens to the lights? Will they continue on the schedule or just stay where they are at? I just set mine up finally and when I exited my computer my director just started blinking red...not sure what will happen to the lights.

the lights will dim, you can plug the director into any USB port that stays powered on your computer, USB port on your router or even on a cable box if you have Verizon. in the end it must be on.

I have the same question. Not sure if my connection is not strong enough but my Director kept doing that so I went back to the Controller. Could be disastrous if the lights just stay where they are when the Director quits!

Still can't get over how amazing this thing is. I'm at work and just showed a friend through my.aquaillumination.com how I can control/program my lights at home, match into light and weather conditions on a reef half way around the world...
Just blown away and to think all for just a 100 bucks!

I have an issue with my director losing powering currently and not turning back on. This pauses the lights at the time when power was lost. dangerous! |

That's what mine did. Haven't used it since. I ordered a AWM module for my APEX controller. If that works good I will have a Director for sale. One thing they need to do is make it to where you can start a storm from the app. People like to show people the storm and last I looked you can't do that from the Director.

I agree on the storm function. ALSO they need to allow you to match local weather but not sunrise and sunset, i come home to a dark tank every day, i'd much rather have it match the weather outside but allow me to pick my sunrise and sunset times. |

Just ordered several Hydras and need a controler, should I get the regular one or the Director? got several questions
1. Is a computer needed for it to be set up? 2. What happens when the internet connection is lost, does the lights shut off? 3. The IP address on my internet provider changes every couple of weeks, would I need to reprogram it to the new IP address? THX in advance

If Internet connection is lost nothing happens to either one except you won't be able to connect to the director remotely. When your ISP changes IP nothing will need to be done since you are not going to the director directly but via a AI website. I have a controller for sale if interested.

Anyone knows if I can connect the Nano Sol via Vega with a cable, and then controll it via the Director?

Hey anyone have the issue where your lights are discovered on the layout screen, but when you go the control tab it says no lights? It was working fine until I changed out a puck with a new led layout. Now nothing is working.

Yea I have done all that. I totally started over, I even reset the director and vega. I noticed a few others having the same problem lately, but no one had the solution. I also deleted the tank layout I had before. I started from square one.

as a last ditch effort i would put the old puck back in to see if it is causing some sort of issue.
