Of course it also depends on other tank inhabitants but in 125g those two fish may squabble for a day, but after one lights out, it should be fine.

Thank you for doing this mostly thankless job.
40b 30g sump RDSB 55lbs LR 3/4" sandbed in display intended for mixed reef.
Cleanup crew added Wednesday included 2 Bstars 6 hermits and about 60 various snails.
Looking to add over the next few months or so.
1 Firefish
1 Bicolored Blenny
2 or 3 fairy Wrasse genius TBD later
1 Gold Striped Maroon Clown
several various corals (softies and LPS)

Anything look like a problem?

1 Gold Striped Maroon Clown GSM will want to own about 50 gallons of tank space once mature and they are very aggressive to any other fish in their space
several various corals (softies and LPS)

Anything look like a problem?
as indicated

I have a 75g tank with 29g sump that has been set up ~3 weeks. 75g LR + octopus protein skimmer. Planning for reef tank with soft coral and a few lps.

Here is my planned stocking list. I would also appreciate any thoughts on stocking order.

- Yellow watchman goby with shrimp
- Banggai Cardinalfish (pair)
- Blue/green chromis (x5)
- One spot foxface
- Longnose Hawkfish
- Clownfish (pair)

Thanks!

- Yellow watchman goby with shrimp

- One spot foxface
- Longnose Hawkfish not shrimp safe, but otherwise excellent
- Clownfish (pair) species determines level of aggression once mature

Thanks!

I have a 55 gallon with a 20 gallon sump no refuge. I have mated pair of maroons which I am selling due to high aggression. I also have a kole tang, a green Chromis, and a lawnmower blenny. Which clownfish should I add that has low aggression? The female maroon goes after my hand and other fish in tank. Also what other fish can I add?

A kole tang really needs a larger tank; A. percula and A. ocellaris are relatively less aggressive as are the designer clown hybrids of these species.

I'm in the middle of planning a 220g build. 75g sump, 200 lbs live rock. planning on standard cuc, fire shrimp, 3 or 4 brittle stars. Probally mixed reef but might go with softy/lps depending on fist temperment.

For live stock I was thinking:
5 Engineer Goby- Pholidichthys leucotaenia
1 Purple Dottyback- Pseudochromis porphyreus
6-8 Blue Reef Chromis- Chromis cyaneus
1 Mated Pair A. Ocellaris- Amphiprion ocellaris
2 Scott's Fairy Wrasse- Cirrhilabrus scottorum
1 Six Line Wrasse- Pseudocheilinus hexataenia
1 Niger Triggerfish- Odonus niger
1 Whitecheek Tang- Acanthurus nigricans
1 One Spot Foxface- Siganus unimaculatus
1 Naso Tang- Naso lituratus
1 Blue Tang- Paracanthurus hepatus

Planning on probally like 2-3 months between additions.
also would this be a good order to add or chould I change?

Thank you

For live stock I was thinking:
5 Engineer Goby- Pholidichthys leucotaenia you may not be pleased with this selection as they get very large, and rearrange the aquascape plus they need to be fed multiple times per day
1 Purple Dottyback- Pseudochromis porphyreus very aggressive
6-8 Blue Reef Chromis- Chromis cyaneus will become one or at most two over time
1 Mated Pair A. Ocellaris- Amphiprion ocellaris
2 Scott's Fairy Wrasse- Cirrhilabrus scottorum very aggressive and unless a male plus female, will not coexist
1 Six Line Wrasse- Pseudocheilinus hexataenia aggressive, especially towards fairy and flasher wrasses and the pseudochromis above
1 Niger Triggerfish- Odonus niger aggressive
1 Whitecheek Tang- Acanthurus nigricans
1 One Spot Foxface- Siganus unimaculatus
1 Naso Tang- Naso lituratus ideally needs an 8 foot tank
1 Blue Tang- Paracanthurus hepatus ideally needs an 8 foot tank

Planning on probally like 2-3 months between additions.
also would this be a good order to add or chould I change?

Thank you
most aggressive should always be last, in your case, the trigger

There is no large angel that is totally reef compatible.

I am new to Saltwater Aquariums & have a 2 month old 40G with 2 clowns & a clean up crew. I am thinking about setting up another larger aggressive type aquarium at some point. I mainly want to get a huma huma picasso trigger fish & a dog face puffer, possible with a clown trigger as well depending on how large a tank is needed. My question is what size aquarium would be needed long term for the trigger fish. Would a 125 gallon be good for a huma huma trigger & a puffer fish?

Fish are fine, banded coral shrimp take fish, crabs, in general, are not to be trusted

Sorry, I do not provide analysis of aggressive fish tanks that are community tanks. My advice, if you want a trigger, to make a species tank for that fish only.

Finishing my 90 Gallon within the next 3 days and Have 2 20 Gallon Quarantine tanks up and running to get fish in so that i can QT them for 6+ weeks.
90 Gallon Tank + 40 gallon Sump/fuge
1" Sand bed
55lbs of Live rock + 5 lbs of Live rock rubble in sump
Coralife Super Skimmer 125 now (Upgrading to Reef Octopus Diablo XS160 in June)
Will be LPS and eventually some SPS in tank.

Have decided on a few fish I'd like:
2x Ocellaris or Black Onyx Clown (Probably Ocellaris due to price)
1x Flame Angel (Maybe not with LPS?)
1x Yellow Foxface
1x Helfrichi Firefish
1x Fathead Sunburst Anthias
Would Like 2 Tangs, but if I can only have 1 that is fine (I know it should be last fish I get) - Thinking of Naso Tang, Kole Yellow Eye, or Yellow Tang.

Not sure on what cleanup crew to get as of yet.
Really like the peppermint or coral banded (I believe i can only have 1 type as they dont get along) Should i get 2 or will 1 be sufficient.
Or would i be better off getting one of the pre-done cleaner packs from Liveaquaria?

Thanks in advance!

Any species of Naso tang requires a larger tank, the best of the ones being considered long term would be the Kole tang.

Ack sorry, didn't mean Naso tang, meant Tomini tang.
Could I do both a Tomini and Kole or am i better off with just 1? And if its just 1 is the Kole still better than Tomini?

And as for Cleaner would the deluxe 90 gallon Caribbean pack from LiveAquaria work well?
30 Scarlet Reef Hermits
50 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermits
40 Astraea Turbo Snails
30 Nassarius Snails
20 Cerith Snails
5 Peppermint Shrimp
4 Emerald Crabs

That just seems like an awful LOT to me.

In a 90 gallon tank, you will be better long term with only one. However, either a Tomini or Kole will be equivalent behaviorally.
