dave.m - I checked and it may be a permission issue with Flickr. I have them in a private album. Apparently Flickr won't let me share the pictures the way I thought it would work .

You have to make those a public album. Just make a new album and move them there.

worm5406 - It's a little more complicated than that with Flickr. If I make them public it will put them all on my Photostream which will clutter my Photostream. I may make a new album for things like my FTS's since I don't mind them in the photostream. Thinking about it I can probably start a new album just for my thread and treat it like I did the build recap album. That may be the best approach...ahhhhhhhhh decisions decisions...lol.

General Updates - Another Partial Order from Aquarium Specialty
Saturday morning (09/07) on my doorsteps was another part of the order. I now have the missing set of end caps . I sent them an email tonight asking where is the rest of my order. I know I had said I will never order from them again but this I really mean it.... I just do not have a good track record with them as of late. My order was placed on Aug 18th and I still do not have all of my order . I was hoping to have some new lights in place by the time you and Richard stopped by on Saturday but it is not looking like it is going to happen.

Hey Henry,

Thanks for today. I know RJT and I both had a good day!

For those that do not know, RJT and my self visited with nightOwl today. Started at 1p and I think I left about 8.

I have some pictures, but only of the tank. No group pics, sorry.

It was nice to see a view into another world, up-close and hands on.

Again thanks.

We are going to make it a regular thing, every three months, at another place.

Larry,
It was a pleasure to have you guys over and put faces with names! After you left my wife was well you are still alive so I guess they are not murders. I know your son was glad to see you come home as well. Richard hopefully your wife like the food you picked up on the way home. I guess its hard for people outside the hobby to say its a good idea to invite or go visit random strangers...LOL.

Oh by the way you left your syringe for your red sea test kit on my QT tank. I saw it this morning while running some water tests. I am going to process some pictures from yesterday and see if I got any good shots a little later.

It really is great to meet nice people. I'm glad we have similar personalities and get along so well. Looking forward to our next meeting.

Wayne- I think our next meeting will be in Dec. I think we are targeting every 3 months and just rotate who is the host.

General Updates - Aquarium Specialty Saga Over
I officially cut ties with Aquarium Specialty . On Thursday I called to check on the status of my order once again and finally told them to cancel the remaining part of the order. I also have unsubscribed from their newsletter so no more dealing with them. The people are always nice when you talk to them but issues with my orders are not worth the headache.
General Updates - Friday Delivery

Friday my box of supplies arrived from BRS. In an effort to make sure I am looking at my tank daily I going back to filter socks for my returns. It is also keeping the micro bubbles out of the tank. I am switching my returns to the tank as well. So that will be something I will be updating in the next week or so. I have to get some ball valves then I will be done...I already have the other parts.

To see the pictures click on the the link below.

General Updates - Tank Visit on Saturday

So Saturday Larry (Worm5406) and Richard (RJT) were kind enough to stop by and see my tank, hang out, and talk tank. We had donuts, drinks (non alcoholic), and Chinese food. It was a blast! We tried to catch my new most hated fish but we just managed to catch some Hermit crabs...lol. We tested my water for phosphate and found that Red Sea Pro and the Hannah Digital testers both returned the same value. Good thing to know. We also brainstormed on some issues I am currently facing and I think I now have a plan for a few items. Oh and we also convinced Richard he needs to spend a lot of money on a camera like we have...lol.

General Updates - Cyno Issues
Saturday after the guys left I turned the lights out and they will remain out for the next three days to clear up the cyno. After the guys saw it It was not as bad as I was thinking. I think some can be fixed with flow and some with the the lights out. I am going bring the lights back on slowly after the three days are over.

Yup... didn't plan it but it was a good deal. Gotta be able to keep the clowns in line, ya know.

Larry - If he gets a better one that will be great. I need an excuse to upgrade again. I have been looking at the 70D or the 7D .

Richard - Cheaper is relative . Think of it as an investment. Any kids sports is great excuse...remember you investing in their futures. Capturing their cherished memories, no more expensive family portraits...I have a list of excuses you can use....

No.. My 'other' one will be here this week. I just have to fill out paperwork and pick it up later.

Sunday's was a surprise, not expected purchase.

General Updates - Can't Catch That Tang
I officially hate the spotted tang. I have taken just about everything out of my tank three times now to try to catch him and not only is he elusive he taunts me . The trap I borrowed from RJT does not interest him at all. Just about every fish has swam in for mysis except him. I will be redoing my aquascaping in the next week or two. When I initially put the rocks together I used zip ties but over time and with the weight of the corals they broke when trying to remove rocks from the water. In the tank corals look look big but when you actually pull them out they are huge. My Miami Orchard coral is not only huge its heavy...lol. I literally had two 20 gallon totes filled with corals and rock and the fish still eluded me. On top of that he has become even more aggressive since none of his old hiding places are in tact. I have come to the conclusion (holds breath) I will need my wife's help (I feel so defeated) . It's either that or try to use a fish hook to catch him...lol. If they made mini harpoons or spear guns I would be a happy camper .

Steve - He is lighting fast and the glare from the lights did not help. At one point I had three nets at one time...lol. In my mind it was working well until I heard. Honey that is not going to work...you do realize that...right? Under my breath I mumbled I know smarty pants...lol.

General Updates - Tang Caught (with the help of the wife of course)Had my pride not been so strong I would have asked my wife last week. I think I spent about 3- 4 hours trying by myself. I was always one of the kids with the I can do it myself attitude. It took less than 30 mins to catch the tang with my wife's help! I ended up isolating the tang to one side of the tank and quickly putting egg crate in place to cut him off from the rest of the tank. After that was done I was able to use my big net and a kabob stick to force him to the egg crate and then scooped him up. Good riddance! My tank is total disarray now but the tang is in the frag tank. I took everything out except a few small rocks and the rock structure near where my clowns host. Strange thing is the rocks don't seem to go back like they were before .
