Thanks KBREEFER I kinda of like the old style better I have the newer style 90-1000 skimmer with the red ceramic bearings and I have found that they are a PITA to set the bottom bearing. My new/old 150 2000/1 skimmer has the old style impeller, it seems to be in great shape just need a new o-ring.

It looks like the SS washer are from the eheim pumps, not on the Aqua Bee pumps I was just wondering if the old style impeller had SS washer also.

I just got an used H&S 200 F2001x2. Is there anywhere I can get/order instructions online? After reading through a couple of threads it looks like I got a great skimmer for my new to me 300 gallon tank. Very excited about getting it up and running.

I believe that you have two aqua bee pumps on this skimmer, if so I would keep a good matinece schedule on them lots of vinegar baths, hard to get parts unless you want to ship from Germany. Great skimmer by the way I have two now.

Hi Everyone,

I have a several of hundreds of the original H&S stainless steel washers. depending on the pump and needle wheel used you usually need 2 bottom and 2 top,or 3 bottom and 2 top

If anyone needs some let me know.

No charge

I just picked up a used H&S 300 skimmer , has one good ehiem 1260 on it and I retrofitted 2 OR 3700 pumps on it. Its a beast. Its only been on the tank for a week now, but I think its gonna be permanent replacement for a beloved t5000 aqua medic. I'm gonna drill the bottom of the cup and tap a drain line on it, and possibly put some led in it, its almost a piece of art.

^^^^I remember seeing a external H&S with the single eheim 1260 pumps and wow what a great looking skimmer too bad it had to be hidden.

Breathing some new life into my H&S. I have external H&S skimmers and its near impossible to just swap them out due to being external and plumbed to my system. Plus its actually a pretty good skimmer and I don't really see a reason to spend $3k+ for what the H&S already does.

I've got 1 Red Dragon 3 2500 installed now. its their new one. 2,500 l/h

I think 1 RD3 should replace 2 1260's without a problem. But we'll see. If its not enough then I'll just have to pick up another RD3.

No it can't. Well not without some modifications. I've got a bunch of silicon tubing and hose clamps to keep it water proof. Will know it a few days how this works out.

if i knew how to do youtube i would upload videos. The RD3 2500 is about equal to 2.5 eheims. Maybe more. I noticed that when I set the RD3 to 20watts its still pulling more air and circulating more water then a single eheim 1260. I have the H&S A200 and I can tell the RD3 2500 is too much pump for this skimmer. Luckily this RD3 is going into my bigger A250 H&S which is a much wider body and should work out perfectly.

when I do a / b comparison (since both pumps are plumbed) I can definitely see that the eheim's output is a joke compared to the lowest settings of the RD3.

I have an A150 external and since I bought this thing new in 2008, everytime I disassemble the aquabee pump for cleaning the darn thing leaks. The pump is fine, impellar fine, I cant figure it out. Maybe I need to overdue it on the plumbers grease?
Does anyone know of an alternate pump I can use? I am soo over this freakin leak but I cant part with the skimmer...it works to dang well.

Is the o-ring leaking When I bought mine used the guy used some silicon on it to keep it from leaking.

I would not remove the pump, turn off the feed pump drain some of the water and add lots of vinegar, run the skimmer for a day, then use a aqua lifter and remove the vinegar.

silicon actually swells the o-ring and makes it bigger. thats what my friends do on ships when they are out at sea.

What kind of silicone? I think of the kind used to put baffles in my sump.

Yeah I wasn't sure if it was a good idea the previous owner was also trying to stop the leak, it was a PITA to separate the pump from the inlet due to the silicon, my problem is I need a new pump. I would love to get this skimmer up an running. I have always been a fan of H&S skimmers and I finally got one and I cannot use I guess I should have gotten an internal when I had the chance.

There is a sweet deal on a ext 250 model only problem I need 200+ more gallons for a tank.

You know you can use it in sump if you have the space. Then the leak really wont matter. Problem with me is I don't have the space and designed my system around this running externally. I replaced it with an Aquamaxx Q2...works good but def not an H&S.

I have heard that Reef Dynamics will size an Ehiem for it but they are $350 bucks. I can get a whole new skimmer for that! Crazy. I wish I could put a Sicci on it somehow.

Reef Dynamics would mod Eheims to fit, however RD went out of business.

What??? Did they really? Well he sold great skimmers just waay too expensive. Maybe if he lowered his prices he would have sold more skimmers.

Sourcing o-ring

Need to purchase a new O-ring for my A-200-1260. I need the O-ring which sits on top of the skimmer body and below the collection cup. any ideas ?

Home Depot or Lowes sell faucet repair kits with all types of O rings.
I just did something kinda stupid...lol. My aqua bee pump started leaking n my H&S A150. It would do that after a good cleaning. I tried everything! But one thing....replace the o ring! I have been screwing around with the skimmer for weeks. Finally gave up and bought another skimmer.
Yesterday it hit me.......new o ring. Found one today and no leak...lol. New skimmer is on its way though. So now I have an extra skimmer.
So now which skimmer do I put on...lol
