Btw, there Is a YouTube Chanel where you can find videos and tutorials. Will be updated soon with more videos which hopefully helps to minimize headaches...

From Vertex Facebook Page regarding Aux modules:

The Actuall Range of the AUX Modules are: Royal Blue, Red, UV. Everything else is not fixed released. We had on the Interzoo a Illumina 450 Samplefixture which had a Red&Green Modul but this is not released or official confirmed so far.

I think I got confirmation in my last email from them on 5/29 :

"thank you for your email. The UV Modules are ready and are on the way to our Canadien Distributor to get shipped over US. We are just finalizing the Software to be capable to show all the different Aux Modules on single Color channels.
This should be ready within this week the programmer told me. So if all the planning’s going correct you can have in the next two weeks the Aux Modules in the US with the prepared Software for it.

The Red/Green Pad will also come but don’t expect it before August.

I will CC someone from the Office in Canada at Proline so they can help you out with more Info.

Best regards
Nicolas"

... but it's going to be a long wait

Thanks for posting the email response.

Now can you or someone here help me select the UV and RG modules configuratuion for my 72" fixture? I still can't decide which of the following three configurations I should implement!

My fixture has a total of 11 slots for the Aux modules.

Option 1 (6 UV and 5 RG):

UV RG UV RG UV RG UV RG UV RG UV

For this option I am not sure if there's enough UV or too much RG. But this has the best evenly spread/look.

Option 2 (7 UV and 4 RG):

UV UV RG UV RG UV RG UV RG UV UV

This has more UV than Option 1 but not as evenly spread/look as Option 1.

Option 3 (8 UV and 3 RG):

UV UV RG UV UV RG UV UV RG UV UV

This has more UV but I am afraid if only 3 RG modules will be enough to spread through the 72" fixture or not.

So please help me choose! Thanks in advance.

I've got 5 slots in my 36", and I'll be going:

(MP) - UV - (MP) - RG - (MP) - UV - (MP) - RG - (MP) - UV - (MP)

(MP) = Main Pad

Then I guess I will start with 6 UV first.

No other opinions?

By the way, a UK online store has the UV modules for sale now! It is £5 more expensive than the red module.

The recommendation for the number of UV modules to be used:

1 Unit for 300mm (12") to 600mm (24") of light
2 Units for 1200mm (48") of light
3 Units for 1800mm (72") of light

Kind of too few? Or are they very strong?

So they are coming very soon .....

UV aux pads now selling in the UK. I got two, but have since found out they are not supported by the unit yet. There will be a new firmware out in the next two weeks to support them.
They are sold atm so as people installing other pads can also install these in a one-shot fashion. The retailer should have let me know, but I spoke to him before contacting Vertex and he had no idea.
Hope this saves anyone else going through the same hastle, trying to figure out why they would not come on

I did, was a tough decision really was, I ordered other brand LEDs with the other colors in there to see how they go. It also came down to how long color pads took to come to market, where i could get another light with the colors i wanted to try now rather than wait months for other color pads to come out.

Not yet. Even they are on sale in UK, people there are still waiting for a firmware to be released in order to make the UV module works. The firmware they are going to be released has some issue they need to tweak it. So still have to wait !!!

So if you had the 12" SR260 with only one aux module slot, which module would you pick and why?

Wish they had a UV/Royal Blue combo module.

I think most people will suggest UV as you already have Royal Blue.

Notclear, thanks for the info and for the clarification on the other thread regarding the 12" only having room for one aux module. I should have posted that question in this thread originally.

I want one bad, especially since Vertex/Vendors are running a serious price cut on them right now, think only for June.
